You don’t need to be good at bowling if you’re good at engineering.
Thanks to BOSE for their support and for the coolest pair of sunglasses ever:

Summary: I made a bowling ball with James Bruton where it will steer left and right depending on how you lean. People lean anyways when the bowl to try and influence the direction so we just capitalized on that. It operates on the same principles of a BB8 ball.

Thanks to Carlyle tools for giving my workbench tools a seriously needed upgrade!

  1. Me: hey mark wanna go to the bowling alley
Mark: yeah I'll get a strike every turn though because of my radio frequency bowling ball that I designed myself and it follows my every move

  2. So you’re telling me that you used science and traveling to get a few high fives from kids? ABSOLUTELY AWSOME!

  3. Actually you don't lean a bike over to turn it.
    You balance a counter-steer.
The smaller diameter to the outside of a tires largest diameter (center tread) takes you to the direction desired…. STEERING IN OPPOSITION TO YOUR DIRECTION.
YOUR BODY BALANCES IN THE MIX TO KEEP YOUR MOMENT OF TRAVEL.

  4. so let's say this becomes mass-produced with the exact same mechanics as shown in the video, but with a more sleek design, would one bowling ball intercept another if they were in the same bowling alley? would there be a solution to that problem?

  5. Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  6. Imagine if this was used at a bowling tournament with $1,000,000 (or something like that) on the line
